Dr. Keera Fishman
Dr. Keera Fishman is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist based in Toronto, Ontario. She provides evidence-based neuropsychological assessment, intervention, and psychotherapy for adults experiencing changes in attention, memory, thinking, mood, sleep, and everyday functioning.
Dr. Fishman works with individuals navigating ADHD, concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke recovery, memory concerns, cognitive changes related to aging, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and neurodegenerative diseases. Her practice focuses on helping people better understand how their brain is functioning while developing practical strategies to improve everyday life, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and cognitive performance.
Dr. Fishman currently works at Baycrest Hospital, one of Canada’s leading centres for brain health and aging, where she provides neuropsychological assessment, intervention, cognitive rehabilitation, and treatment for adults with a wide range of neurodegenerative and mental health conditions. She has extensive experience supporting individuals living with mild cognitive impairment, concussion, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, attention and executive functioning difficulties, insomnia, anxiety, and depression.
She also co-leads the Learning the Ropes for Living with MCI® program, a multicomponent intervention that helps individuals with mild cognitive impairment and their families build practical memory strategies and support brain health.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. She integrates neuropsychology, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), cognitive rehabilitation principles, and evidence-based brain health interventions to help clients build insight, improve daily functioning, and feel more confident navigating relationships and everyday responsibilities.
Dr. Fishman is particularly passionate about translating neuropsychological science into practical, meaningful strategies that individuals can use in their daily lives. Whether someone is struggling with attention, brain fog, memory changes, feeling overwhelmed, or cognitive fatigue, she aims to provide compassionate and individualized care that supports both cognitive and emotional wellbeing.
She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She completed her residency training in neuropsychology and cognitive health at Baycrest Hospital and the Epilepsy Clinic at the Krembil Neuroscience Center at Toronto Western Hospital. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship as the Neuropsychology Lead of the Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative (ONDRI), contributing to research and clinical initiatives focused on cognitive health, wearable technologies, and neurodegenerative conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Fishman has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in the areas of neuropsychology, cognition, stroke recovery, aging, dementia risk, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, psychological wellbeing, and brain health interventions.
Her research has been published in leading scientific journals and presented at national and international conferences.

Advancing Brain Health Education
Dr. Fishman received a $25,000 grant from the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) at Baycrest Hospital to develop Learning the Ropes for Living with MCI® Foundations, a free educational program designed to support older adults living with mild cognitive impairment and their families. This work was subsequently published in a peer-reviewed journal and received an Award for Excellence in Research in Dementia Care from the Baycrest Academy for Research and Education.

Improving Cognitive Recovery After Stroke
Dr. Fishman led and published a randomized clinical trial demonstrating that goal-setting interventions can improve cognitive performance among individuals recovering from stroke, contributing to evidence-based approaches in cognitive rehabilitation.
Leadership in Neurodegenerative Disease Research
As Neuropsychology Lead of the Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative (ONDRI), Dr. Fishman contributed to large-scale research examining cognition, quality of life, and brain health across conditions including Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, vascular cognitive impairment, and frontotemporal dementia.
